What exactly is Reiki?
Reiki is a frequency of energy that exists in the universe. About a hundred years ago, in Japan, some people unintentionally tapped into this energy. They gave it the name Reiki because in their language this word described how it felt to them: deeply healing energy that just knows where to go. A Reiki healer is someone who has been opened to channel this energy.
What’s the difference between Reiki and other forms of energy medicine?
Sounds a little weird, is there any proof that Reiki actually works?
Besides the millions of testimonials from around the world? You must mean white people approval. Don’t worry, this kind of suffering is on our radar and we can help you heal from it. To ease your mind right now, yes there’s that kind of proof too. Institutions like Harvard, Yale, Duke, Columbia Presbyterian, and the Mayo Clinic use Reiki or have conducted studies that “prove” Reiki significantly reduces pain, anxiety, depression, inflammation, and stress.

What is the difference between Traditional & Holy Fire® Reiki?
Traditional Reiki is the way most people have been practicing Reiki for the past 100-ish years. The Reiki flows from the universe through the certified Practitioner and to the recipient, often with the Practitioner hovering their hands over the recipient or with light touch.
Holy Fire® was discovered in 2014 and is a higher vibration of Reiki. The healer must be a Reiki Master and receive an additional empowerment to work with Holy Fire® Reiki. In order to preserve this high vibration, Holy Fire® Reiki does not travel through the Reiki Master. Instead, the Reiki Master reads something to the recipient which connects the recipient directly to Holy Fire®. It is as if the Reiki Master temporarily gives the recipient a key to access to Holy Fire®. After reading what sounds like a guided meditation, the Reiki Master is quiet and Holy Fire® works directly with the recipient.
Can I book a private session with a Reiki Collective Healer?
Not at this time. Right now, we’re fully committed to the mental health facilities we’re contracted to serve. If your organization would like to set up ongoing sessions, please contact Jona.
Who does the Reiki Collective serve?
Reiki Collective healers specialize in supporting clients in treatment for anxiety, depression, addictive disorders, trauma, disordered eating, and mental health challenges. We contract directly with treatment facilities for weekly group or individual sessions and are a part of their continuum of care.
How do I know if Reiki will be useful for my organization?
If you’re interested in providing Reiki to your clients, please let us know! We’ll schedule a time to connect with you over the phone or in person.
Is Reiki better in a group or private session?
We’ve developed group and individual formats that are trauma informed and safe. Jona recommends privates for those in crisis (detox, residential care, etc) and anyone who is doing trauma work. Groups are better for those who are a little further along in their recovery.
